Man, 85, convicted of sexually assaulting passenger on international flight to Chicago — Libertyville Community news

A man was convicted of sexually assaulting someone on a 2024 international flight to Chicago from Austria, according to the U.S. Attorney s office for the Northern District of Illinois. Josip Pasic, 85, was found guilty of abusive sexual contact on an aircraft this week by U.S. District Judge Andrea R. Wood, according to court documents. While on an Aug. 17, 2024 Austrian Airlines flight from Vienna, Austria, Pasic touched a person’s outer thigh, inner thigh, and groin area, against their objections, and used a piece of fabric to conceal the act, prosecutors said. The victim took videos of Pasic and showed them to a flight attendant, who helped to move the victim to another part of the plane for the remainder of the flight. A sentencing hearing has not yet been scheduled.
